Australian National Band Championships 2025 – Solos

Congratulations to all our soloists at the Australian National Band Championships Solo and Ensemble Contest today – some exceptional playing in an extremely competitive field of the Nations very best young brass players. Many thanks to our magnificent accompanist’s Patrick Lawrence! And thanks to the volunteers who put in so many hours to make it all work, you are very much appreciated.

Angus – 2nd Junior Tenor Horn
Ben – 2nd Junior Trumpet and 2nd Eb Soprano cornet
James – 4th Open cornet and 6th Junior cornet
Harrison – 3rd Junior Timpani and Mallets and 6th Junior Snare,
Stuart – 5th Junior Tenor Trombone
Jordan – 6th Junior Euphonium
The Return of EEEE – Imogen, Izzi, William, Fergus – 10th in a packed field in Open Quartet.
And congratulations Billy Stewart, Wodonga Brass who plays with us for Nationals and won in Junior Bb cornet and Eb Soprano.

And amazing volunteering by our players with the Victorian State Youth Brass Band stall to help to fund a banding trip to NSW and the ACT in the September holidays!
