Australian National Band Championships 2026 – Open C Grade

What an exceptional Australian National Band Championships for Hyde Street Youth Band, the new 2026 Open C Grade CHAMPIONS of Australia, in our second Nationals in that grade. The band placed 1st in all sections – Hymn, Test, Own Choice and Stage March. Many thanks to our Musical Director, Phillipa Edwards; this would not be possible without all your dedication, insight, experience and determination. And congratulations to the bands in the section!

Many thanks to the Queensland Band Association, Annette Reis and the Organising Committee; we appreciate all your efforts in running the competition and thoughtfully assisting our young players. And thanks to the volunteers. We would not have been able to dream of, let alone have made it to Brisbane without the months of organising, fundraising, and hours dedicated by our families and friends, as well as their generosity- reflecting our values of Community, Mastery, and Joy!
