Crowd Funding – Star Dust & The Mission National Tour
Late last years a number of our band members were invited to participate in a production of Star Dust and The Mission. This was a fantastic opportunity for the kids who enjoyed playing on stage in support of these two, one man shows.
The production is now going National and we have been invited “to give back” by helping to raise fund so that others can enjoy the same opportunity. Please read on to hear from Joel Carnegie, one of the producers:
I wanted to let you know some news that Stardust + The Mission is slated for national touring in 2021, with 18 venues booked in. We’re quietly excited to be sharing these two stories across Australia, and plan to undertake further work on the production prior to touring.
We now want to provide the best possible experience for the 18 bands involved in the national tour; and in order to do this, we are raising funds through Creative Partnerships Australia’s ACF Boost program – which means that any (tax-deductible) donations raised in the month of May 2020 will be matched dollar for dollar up to $3000.
As we all know, funding is getting more scarce these days so we are very grateful for this chance to double the impact of every donation. All donations will go towards new musical arrangements, backing tracks, videos to support the brass band in their learning, and artist fees.
We believe that, with our support, the show will have great impact on the 150+ musicians involved in our national tour.
