Victorian State Band Championships 2025 – Junior C Grade

Hyde Street Youth Band had an amazing weekend at the State Band Championships this weekend. We entered our Hyde Street Junior Band in the Junior C Grade so some of our younger and emerging players could develop their skills with more experienced players from Hyde Street Youth Band in supporting roles where needed. And they are now the State Junior C Grade champions!

And the effort our young players put in in the weeks preceding, and the dedication of their MD Andrew Wilson and Associate Director Fern Gass is a testament to their commitment to their art and musical craft, or as we say at Hyde Street – Community, Mastery, Joy!

Thanks Victorian Bands’ League for putting on such an amazing weekend and great to hear Richmond Youth Brass Band in Open D grade, young people in various bands, and a fabulous performance by the young players of Marist Brass Band and Bendigo Youth Brass!
