Alpine Brass Festival – A great weekend!

A fantastic weekend was enjoyed by all who attended the HSYB Alpine Brass Festival over the weekend of the 17th to 19th June. We were blessed with excellent weather, blue skies and sunshine, and whilst the mornings were fresh, the days warmed as the sun beat down.

Our HSYB Inc. members were joined by a number of VSYBB members and their families which made for an even better weekend. We love to see some new faces.

Attendees at camp got to enjoy (or be terrified by) the free fall slide and vertical challenge as well the the Alpine Brass Festival in Bright. Both the Junior Band and Youth Band played well with Andrew Wilson doing a great job with the Junior Band and Phillipa Edwards bring the best out of the Youth Band. Most of our Youth Band then went on to play as the core of the newly reformed Victorian State Youth Brass Band led by Ken MacDonald. The performance of Toccata by Bach, was a real highlight.
