Alpine Brass Festival

Hyde Street Youth Band played at the Alpine Brass Festival in Bright, with some amazing bands from all over the State including the Victorian State Youth Brass Band, which many of our members also play with.

Our tuba players starred in a performance of Tubby the Tuba – Fergus the theatrical (with his friend the bullfrog) and Imogen our newest tuba player who’s been playing brass for about a year! The room was silently absorbed in the magic of this epic and playful performance.

Our solo horn player, Angus, who is also the 2023 National Junior Tenor Horn Champion, was also lucky to have the opportunity to play a solo with the band, performing Episode by Peter Graham.
